Sir Walter Raleigh and Virginia

There is no single, straightforward account of the earliest English colony on the Americas. Sir Walter Raleigh was granted the ability to explore and settle lands known as Virginia, but he didn't go himself. Rather, here we have a collection of seven documents divided into 18 parts for this series, looking at five journeys to Virginia , along with a document from Queen Elizabeth granting Sir Walter Raleigh his rights and one other account which covers a year in the life of the settlers on the North American continent.
